Motherland Cultural Connections
As the Social Media and Project Manager for Motherland Cultural Connections, one of my final projects was leading the brand design and marketing strategy for a pilot business coaching program created for African immigrant women in West Michigan. The program aimed to support participants in launching their own online cooking businesses. Working closely with MCC’s founder, I developed the program’s core messaging and communication strategy, ensuring clarity and alignment with its mission. I designed branding elements and program materials that reflected themes of empowerment, entrepreneurship, and community. To generate visibility and encourage applications, I created a tailored social media strategy that included storytelling components—highlighting participant journeys through authentic, culturally resonant content. The result was a compelling brand presence that built trust and excitement within the community and positioned the program for a strong launch.
